Privacy Policy

Tri-Sea ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Tri-Sea application ("App") for macOS and iOS.

1. Information We Collect

Health & Fitness Data: With your explicit permission, Tri-Sea accesses Apple HealthKit data including workouts, heart rate, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep analysis, VO2 max, and menstrual cycle data. This data is used solely to power your training analytics and is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account.

Profile Information: Name, date of birth, experience level, and training preferences you provide during onboarding. This data is stored locally and synced via iCloud.

AI Interaction Data: If you use the Premium AI features, anonymized training context (fitness metrics, plan structure) is sent to our AI service provider to generate personalized training recommendations. We do not send your name, email, or health data to AI providers.

Support Requests: When you contact us via the support form, we collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate and optimize your training plans
  • To calculate fitness metrics (CTL, ATL, TSB) and training load
  • To provide performance analytics and health insights
  • To sync your data across your devices via iCloud
  • To respond to support requests

3. Data Storage & Security

All training data, health data, and profile information is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and synced via your private iCloud account using CloudKit. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Your HealthKit data is never stored on external servers.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Apple iCloud (CloudKit): Used to sync your training data across devices. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple HealthKit: Used to read health and fitness data with your permission. HealthKit data is never sold or shared with advertisers.
  • AI Service Providers (Premium only): Anonymized training context may be sent to generate AI-powered plans. No personally identifiable information is transmitted.
  • Apple StoreKit: Subscription management is handled by Apple. We do not access your payment information.

5. HealthKit Disclosure

Tri-Sea requests access to HealthKit data solely to enhance your training experience. We do not sell HealthKit data. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising. We do not disclose HealthKit data to third parties without your explicit consent, except as required to provide core app functionality (e.g., displaying your health metrics within the app).

6. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device and iCloud account for as long as you use the App. You can delete all data at any time by removing the App from your devices. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data. iCloud data can be managed through your iCloud settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Tri-Sea is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and review your personal data within the App
  • Delete your data by removing the App
  • Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time via iOS/macOS Settings
  • Opt out of AI features by not subscribing to Premium
  • Contact us to request data deletion

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
